Offered as part of the business package policy or on a stand-alone basis (non-practice owners), this program offers protection and defense for allegations of professional wrong doing or negligence. Coverage extends to employees, interns, externs, and volunteers. No professional liability claim may be settled without the written consent of the veterinarian.
Veterinary Medical Board (VMB) defense coverage is automatically included with a limit of $100,000 per doctor per year. This coverage allows the veterinarian to retain the services of a qualified attorney or expert witness to defend a VMB allegation or complaint.
